Meet JJ!

JJ Hurst is a physical therapist, dancer, long distance runner, lifter, and a trauma informed provider. JJ grew up as a competitive rower, and fell in love with dancing in college. JJ's background as an athlete and a dancer is what makes JJ truly believe that movement is medicine, and a path to empowerment when facing trauma. JJ's movement training also includes Kettlebells, acrobat training, AcroYoga, and barbell lifting.

JJ chose to specialize in treating hypermobile and queer individuals and unique movement artists such as acrobats, aerialists, pole dancers, endurance runners, dressage riders, and queer individuals and other unique movement artists because they love the complexity of these performers, and because they are historically under served. Whether you're recovering post top surgery, trying to nail an inverted hang, or want to make it those last few miles, we think everyone is an athlete, and we'll meet you where you're at, to meet your goals.

JJ has a unique ability to blend the emotional and physical aspects of care into treatment by utilizing gentle hands on approaches to the muscles, fascia and viscera with the coaching of strength based functional movements. JJ has a passion for building bodies and movement patterns that are durable, beautiful, and functional from the inside out. JJ is passionate about integrating the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual, and to helping you feel empowered on all levels of your being.
